Once again a huge congratulations to Alex, Gabi and Simon on going to worlds. The comp was a blast and one of the best events I've ever been to. Beijing was rad. I would highly suggest that you all put climbing at the World Championships on your list of goals. It is definitely an experience worth having.
Alex, Gabi and Simon did great but were inconsistent over the days and that really hurt them all. Alex just missed the semi final cut at 27th. 26 moved on to semis. Gabi ended up placing 24th. Simon was in 2nd place after the first day, but ended up 12th missing the cut to finals. Top 8 move on to finals. He should have sent the route but got stuck trying to clip a long draw that just wouldn't cooperate and greased off.
Over all the comp was really fun. There were 347 athletes from 37 countries.
